Award-Winning: Trebing + Himstedt Receives Coveted Technology Prize
LUDWIG-BÖLKOW Technology Prize Awarded for Monitoring Software TH SCOPE
 Schwerin, Nov 07, 2012 - On November 1, 2012, Trebing + Himstedt, international provider of products and services for the optimal use of IT in production environments, received the "LUDWIG BÖLKOW Technology Prize Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 2012". The prize was jointly presented by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Ministry of Economics and the State's Technology Centers for the "intelligent solution to cost-reducing and sustainable monitoring of industrial networks in production".
The name Ludwig Bölkow stands for visions that have become reality, and it is associated with highly innovative products. In this spirit, the jury recognized the development of the cutting-edge monitoring software TH SCOPE. The Trebing + Himstedt product TH SCOPE is an intelligent software for monitoring networked production systems within industry. The use of TH SCOPE ensures the permanent availability of production systems and the timely prevention of expensive failures in cost-intensive equipment. For the first time, TH SCOPE permits permanent monitoring of industrial networks as it is practiced in "office IT", at an acceptable effort and cost. Through permanent monitoring, the network proactively reports network degradation or errors which have occurred.
TH SCOPE supports the current industrial communication protocols PROFIBUS, PROFINET and Industrial Ethernet, and can therefore be used in 80 percent of networks in the global market. The key is the software's high usability, which allows a rapid response to errors, and helps eliminate them more quickly.

The high degree of innovation and significant user benefit were particularly stressed by the prize jury: TH SCOPE is a network management tool for easy monitoring. It can be used online and allows a quick reaction in case of errors in the production process.
